Seek Friendship and Support…

If you have a “Ticket To Jesus” and someone wrote their name and phone number on the back, you’ve got your person for advice. Ask them about churches and bible studies in your area.

Otherwise read on…

Find a church. Google “churches” in your area, you’ll be amazed at the number of them and the variety of denominations – large and small.

As long as they believe:
~ Jesus is the son of God
~ He died for our sins and rose again
~ He wants to be your Lord and Savior
~ He talks to us through his Holy Spirit
~ They always teach from the bible

…this will give you a good start. Visit as many local churches as it takes to find one that fits you. If somthing they teach doesn’t sit well with you – keep looking. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you…God won’t let you down.

Find a Bible. Ask a church you visit for one…they usually have them on hand free for new believers. Otherwise visit a book store or Amazon. The New Living Translation is a good place to start.

Find a Bible study, prayer group, or small group of believers that gather regularly. These small groups are essental to your growth as a Christian. You will meet people who will help you learn, grow and keep you on the path as you walk with Christ. You will want to visit different groups until you find one or two that you feel comfortable with.

Find God’s friendship through prayer. God is the best friend you’ll ever have, and with God on your side, you’ll never be alone. As you go through this selection of churches and groups, beleive that God will lead the way if you pray and seek his wisdom.

Diligently pursue the steps above, and if you get the opportunity let us know how you are doing!
